Antique silver brooch from India. The brooch features a 1913 coin with an ornate halo of thorn like detailing. The coin has the portrait of George V and around the coin it says 'George V King Emperor'. On the back of the coin it says 1/4 Rupee 1913. George V was Emperor of India from 1910-1936. India gained independence from British in 1948. The brooch and coin are set in silver.

The coin is from the Calcutta mint.
